Wax Casting
Each bronze has an original wax that was made in the latex mold. This piece is chased or perfected and cut into pieces for shell.

Shell
The waxes are dipped in ceramic for approximately a week and are then fired to melt and burn out the wax leaving a negative into which the bronze can be poured.

Bronze is melted at approximately 2100 degrees F.

The bronze is poured into the ceramic shell.
Metal work
The pieces are then welded back together and "chased" to remove the weld lines and add the original detail back to the metal.
Patina
They bronze is treated with a combination of heat and chemicals to give the final coloration and finish prior to being coated with lacquer to seal the finish.
Finish
The finished piece is then mounted on a base.
